Children First Foundation receives $100,000US grant from Newman’s Own Foundation
Children First Foundation has received a grant of $100,000US from Newman’s Own Foundation, the independent foundation created by the late actor and philanthropist, Paul Newman.
This wonderful contribution will be directed to support our Miracle sMiles Program and the children cared for at our Miracle sMiles Retreat.
The Retreat provides a holistic model of care for the children, first gaining their confidence in a new environment, developing their English skills and preparing them for their medical journey.
We have a particular focus on developing a nutritious eating plan that supports each child’s preparation for anaesthesia and surgery and maintaining a nutritional diet post surgery that supports the excellent medical care.
Newman’s Own Foundation turns all net profits and royalties from the sale of Newman’s Own products into charitable donations. To date, Paul Newman and Newman’s Own Foundation have given over $460 million to thousands of charities around the world.
We are delighted to receive this grant and extend our thanks to Newman’s Own Foundation.
