Child Safety Standards – keeping children safe

Home > News > General News > Child Safety Standards – keeping children safe

Children First Foundation has a zero tolerance policy to abuse of any kind towards every child or young person in our care.

We wholeheartedly adhere to the Victorian Government Child Safety Standards which were introduced on 1 January 2016 and extended on 1 January 2017  to apply to all organisations that provide services or facilities for children.

The entire Children First community is responsible for the protection of children and reporting information about child abuse.  Our commitment to child safety includes our Board, staff, volunteers and contractors who provide services on our properties and in the proximity of the children.

Visitors and contractors to our Miracle sMiles Retreat are required to read our (1)  Child Protection Policy & Procedures and  (2) Child Safety Code of Conduct and will be asked to sign the register on arrival at the Retreat confirming they have read the documents and will adhere to the Children Safety Standards.

Thanks for working with us to ensure all children in our care remain safe.
