Welcome Aboard

This year we welcomed three new staff to the Children First team .. well one “new-ie” to the team, and two wearing slightly different hats.

Following extensive experience in the international humanitarian and fundraising space, Treaisa Rowe joined us as Development Manager in May. Treaisa has hit the ground running, passionately sharing stories of our remarkable kids and Foundation, fostering relationships with long term supporters, and engaging with many new supporters. Welcome Treaisa.

Judy Goss and Tracey Burge were already running in their roles as much valued volunteers at the Retreat. In 2018, we were also delighted to welcome them to the staff team – Judy as the Miracle sMiles Program Assistant Manager; Tracey as one of our four Miracle sMiles Program Coordinators (along with Grace, Karli and Suse). We are very fortunate to have both Judy and Tracey wearing your new hats.

See You Soon

Following nearly two wonderful years of volunteering and working with Children First, we have just bid Mel Likos “farewell but not good bye”, or as we like to say, “see you soon Mel”. Our sincere thanks to Mel for her care of the children and her enormous assistance with the recent capital works projects. We wish Mel all the very best with her adventures which lie ahead, and are thrilled Mel is still available to help out on a casual basis next year.

Welcoming in 2019

As we gear up for our 20th year .. Deb, Judy, Tracey, Grace, Karli and Suse at the Retreat in Kilmore, along with Liz, Marina, Julie, Michelle and Treaisa at the North Melbourne support office, look forward to another extraordinary year of facilitating life-changing surgery for children from developing countries.
