Meet Ngoc. Ngoc is our first in-country case in Vietnam (if you have not already read about our joint partnership in Vietnam, click here)
Although Ngoc is happy and smiling in this picture, she has cerebral palsy, which has drastically impaired her mobility. Her achilles tendon is severely contracted and as a result, Ngoc walks on her toes.
To walk pain-free and make her everyday life more manageable, Ngoc desperately needs surgery to lengthen her achilles tendon.
All the wheels for her treatment are set in motion, but with Ho Chi Min City (where her surgery will take place) currently in lockdown, Ngoc’s treatment is unfortunately delayed. However, her medical team assure us they are on standby, ready to begin her treatment as soon as the restrictions are lifted! We will be sure to keep you updated with Ngoc’s progress.
